About the role
LJMU’s Student Futures team is looking for an experienced part‑time Careers & Employability Trainer to design and deliver engaging workshops that help students develop employability skills and navigate early‑career pathways.
Key responsibilities
- Plan, deliver and continuously improve workshops on employability skills, work‑based learning, and graduate career development.
- Create tailored sessions for diverse student groups, including placement preparation and onward destination planning.
- Collaborate with academic staff to embed employability content within curricula.
- Provide one‑to‑one guidance and support to students seeking work experience or graduate roles.
Required profile
- Proven experience designing and delivering workshops for students or adult learners.
- Strong understanding of current labour‑market trends and challenges faced by graduates.
- Ability to support students from a wide range of backgrounds.
- Excellent communication, self‑organisation and teamwork skills.
