Part‑time Class 2 HGV Driver – 16 hrs/week

About the role

We are looking for a reliable Class 2 HGV (Cat C) driver to work part‑time from Newton Aycliffe. The role involves 16 hours per week, split over Tuesdays and Wednesdays, delivering goods to Leeds, Hull, Washington and surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate a 26‑tonne rigid (Cat C) vehicle on assigned routes.
• Complete deliveries and collections, ensuring goods are secured and paperwork is accurate.
• Perform pre‑ and post‑shift vehicle checks and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Provide courteous customer service at each delivery point.
• Comply with all road safety regulations and company policies.

Required profile

• Valid HGV Cat C (Class 2) licence.
• Current CPC qualification.
• Valid Digital Tachograph Card.
• Proven experience driving a 26‑tonne rigid vehicle.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
