Part‑time Cook – Care Home

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated part‑time Cook to join the team at Woodlands Care Home in Oadby, Leicester. You will prepare nutritious meals for 26 residents with a variety of health needs, ensuring a dignified dining experience each day.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare meals, snacks and beverages in line with residents’ dietary requirements.
• Conduct quality checks on prepared food and storage conditions.
• Plan menus that reflect residents’ preferences and nutritional needs.
• Assist with food service to support a respectful dining environment.
• Maintain accurate stock records, order supplies and ensure compliance with food safety regulations.
• Keep the kitchen clean and tidy, including deep‑cleaning tasks.

Required profile

• Patient, understanding and respectful attitude towards residents.
• Experience as a Cook, preferably with a Food Hygiene or Catering qualification (training can be provided).
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality meals in a care‑home setting.
