Part‑time Despatch Assistant – Millom Warehouse

About the role

Join our Millom warehouse team as a Despatch Assistant on a part‑time basis. You will be responsible for picking and packing customer orders accurately to ensure fast, same‑day dispatch of books and other products.

Key responsibilities

• Pick items from stock according to order specifications.
• Pack orders securely and label them for dispatch.
• Maintain high accuracy to minimise errors and returns.
• Keep the work area tidy and follow health‑and‑safety procedures.
• Assist with stock checks and replenishment as needed.

• Reliable work ethic and flexibility to adapt to busy periods.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and handle physical tasks.
• Basic numeracy and literacy skills.
