Part‑time Despatch Assistant – Warehouse Picking & Packing

About the role

Join our Millom warehouse team as a Despatch Assistant, working part‑time (20+ hours Monday‑Friday) to ensure customers receive their orders on the same day. You will be responsible for picking and packing books and other products with a focus on accuracy and speed.

Key responsibilities

• Pick items from stock according to customer orders.
• Pack orders securely for dispatch, checking quantities and product condition.
• Maintain a clean and organised work area.
• Support the dispatch process to meet same‑day delivery targets.
• Assist with stock replenishment and basic inventory checks.

Required profile

• Positive, energetic attitude and willingness to be on your feet for most of the shift.
• Reliable work ethic with flexibility to increase hours during busy periods.
• Good numeracy and literacy skills.
• Team‑player who enjoys a lively workplace.

Required skills

• Basic computer literacy for order entry.
