Part‑time ESOL Tutor – Liverpool

About the role

Prospero Teaching is seeking a part‑time ESOL Tutor to work with individual learners in Liverpool. The role combines classroom‑based English language tuition with mentoring activities that help young people integrate locally, develop CVs and plan for their future.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver one‑to‑one ESOL lessons covering core English language skills.
• Provide mentoring support, including local outings, CV writing assistance and life‑skills coaching.
• Support students with special educational needs (SEN) and disengaged pupils.
• Collaborate with the team to tailor learning plans and monitor progress.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching in the UK, preferably with SEND or disengaged learners.
• Creative, patient and able to think outside the box.
• Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
• Two professional child‑related references.

• Flexible hours ranging from 5 to 15 per week.
• Competitive rate of £25‑£30 per hour.
• Ongoing, long‑term placement starting September 2026.
