Part‑time Funeral Arranger

About the role
Join the Co‑op Funeralcare team in Fareham as a part‑time Funeral Arranger. You will support families during a sensitive time, ensuring dignified care for the deceased and a comforting environment for clients.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare, transport and provide personal care for the deceased, including hair and make‑up for viewings.
- Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming funeral home environment.
- Assist clients in person and over the phone, arranging visits and answering queries.
- Handle manual tasks such as moving coffins and supporting funeral plan arrangements.
- Use digital devices to record client information, manage funeral arrangements and process invoicing.
- Report and record any maintenance issues within the branch.
Required profile
- Comfortable with direct physical contact with the deceased.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently, sometimes as the sole staff member on site.
- Willingness to learn and follow health‑and‑safety standards.
Required skills
- Basic numeracy for handling invoicing and documentation.
