Part‑time Health & Social Care Lecturer (7 hrs/week)

About the role

We are seeking a part‑time Lecturer to deliver Health, Social Care and Childcare programmes at Hertford Regional College’s Broxbourne Campus. The role involves teaching up to Level 3 courses across 7 hours per week, inspiring students and supporting their progress towards employment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in Health, Social Care and Childcare for learners aged 16‑19.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback and record grades.
• Support students with additional needs and promote inclusive learning.
• Contribute to curriculum development and maintain up‑to‑date teaching resources.
• Collaborate with colleagues and participate in college events and professional development.

Required profile

• Level 3 qualification in Childcare, Health or Social Care.
• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PTLLS, PGCE, or equivalent).
• Demonstrable experience in a Childcare, Health or Social Care setting or previous FE/HE teaching.
• Experience working with 16‑19‑year‑olds, including those with additional needs.
• Strong interpersonal and organisational skills.
