Part‑Time HR Manager – 30 hrs/week

About the role

This part‑time HR Manager role is based in St Albans and will lead the full spectrum of HR activities for a growing organisation. Working 30 hours across five days, you will operate independently to ensure HR processes are efficient, compliant and aligned with best practice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end recruitment, from advertising and sourcing to onboarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records, oversee HRIS data, and ensure compliance with attendance, leave and GDPR requirements.
• Apply company policies consistently and support managers with employment‑law guidance.
• Coordinate the performance management system, track objectives and assist managers with documentation.
• Oversee training records, organise development programmes and support learning initiatives.
• Act as the first point of contact for employee queries and handle complex employee‑relations matters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in HR management, preferably in a stand‑alone capacity.
• Strong knowledge of recruitment processes, employment legislation and GDPR.
• Excellent organisational abilities with the capacity to juggle multiple priorities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with HRIS and data‑management tools.
