Part‑time HR Manager (Interim)

About the role

This interim, part‑time position supports a leading UK charity’s HR team on a fixed‑term basis. Reporting to the HR Director, you will help deliver people‑related projects that align with the organisation’s strategic goals and foster a values‑driven culture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the Staff Engagement Committee and launch a 12‑month wellbeing calendar.
• Chair monthly engagement meetings and manage staff awards programmes.
• Design and implement a comprehensive onboarding and induction programme covering compliance, values, EDI and departmental modules.
• Develop and deliver recruitment training for managers, ensuring inclusive best‑practice standards.
• Co‑create the annual training plan, sourcing internal and external solutions within budget.
• Provide expert advice on complex employee‑relations cases and act as a backup for the HR Officer.
• Oversee annual leave, TOIL entitlements and year‑end increment processes.
• Cover HR processing activities as required.

Required profile

• CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience managing HR projects, change programmes and complex employee‑relations issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication with excellent stakeholder‑engagement skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
• Experience in a charity, membership organisation, healthcare or higher‑education setting is desirable.
