About the role
A well‑established insolvency practice in Manchester is looking for a part‑time appointment‑taking Insolvency Practitioner to manage a high‑volume portfolio of Individual Voluntary Arrangements (IVAs). The role offers flexible days and hours, allowing an experienced IP to maintain hands‑on responsibility while balancing other commitments.
Key responsibilities
- Act as the appointment‑taking Insolvency Practitioner on volume IVA cases.
- Chair and oversee Meetings of Creditors and key IVA milestones.
- Review and approve IVA proposals, variations, and closures.
- Provide technical oversight and guidance to IVA case administration teams.
- Ensure full compliance with insolvency legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Liaise with creditors, regulators, and internal stakeholders as required.
- Support internal compliance reviews and audits.
Required profile
- Fully licensed Insolvency Practitioner.
- Proven experience acting as an appointment‑taking IP on volume IVAs.
- Strong technical knowledge of IVA legislation and regulatory standards.
- Comfortable working in a high‑volume, process‑driven environment.
- Pragmatic and commercial approach with strong attention to detail.
