Part‑time Lettings Compliance Officer

About the role

Golden Eagle International is looking for a diligent part‑time Lettings Compliance Officer to ensure our residential rental portfolio meets all legal and quality standards. You will work closely with the lettings and property management teams to safeguard compliance with current and upcoming legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full compliance with UK residential lettings legislation and upcoming Renters’ Rights reforms.
• Monitor and implement changes related to the abolition of Section 21, possession procedures, and statutory notices.
• Ensure tenancy agreements, prescribed information, and legal documentation are up‑to‑date.
• Oversee compliance for deposits, Right to Rent checks, gas safety certificates, EICRs, EPCs, alarms, licensing and other statutory requirements.
• Conduct regular compliance audits, identify risks, and update internal policies.
• Provide guidance and training to lettings and property management staff.
• Liaise with landlords, legal advisers, local authorities and regulatory bodies as needed.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a lettings compliance role or senior residential lettings position with compliance duties.
• Strong knowledge of UK residential lettings law and Renters’ Rights reforms.
• Ability to interpret legislation and give practical advice.
• Excellent organisational, communication and detail‑orientation skills.
• Self‑motivated and capable of working independently.
