Part‑time Market Research Interviewer – Ardrossan

About the role

As a Market Research Interviewer you will go into local neighbourhoods, knock on doors and carry out face‑to‑face interviews about health, housing, transport and other everyday topics. Using a tablet or laptop you will guide the conversation, record responses and help generate data that informs public policy and improves people’s lives.

Key responsibilities

• Visit households in the Ardrossan area and conduct structured interviews.
• Explain the purpose of the study, obtain consent and record answers accurately.
• Handle refusals or non‑responses professionally and continue to the next household.
• Use a tablet or laptop with camera to capture data and upload it securely.
• Travel to and from interview locations, keeping track of mileage and travel time.

Required profile

• Valid UK driving licence and sole use of a car.
• Class 1 business insurance.
• Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete a DBS check.
• Reliable home broadband and a laptop or tablet with camera.
• At least 18 hours of availability per week with flexibility for weekdays, evenings and weekends.
• Strong verbal and written English skills.

Required skills

• Comfortable using basic technology (tablet or laptop) for data entry.
• Ability to manage time and work independently in the field.

What we offer

• £20‑£30 per completed interview (typical rate).
• Admin fees and holiday pay (12.1%).
• Travel time paid at £4.68 per hour and mileage at 36p per mile (up to 10,000 miles).
• Launch bonus of £250 after the first month, with two further £250 payments at two and four months.
• Average hourly rate of about £15.12, higher for experienced interviewers.
