About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic Music Teacher to join a specialist SEMH school in Orpington on a part‑time basis. The role starts in September and involves three days of teaching per week, offering a varied and rewarding environment where no two days are the same.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver music lessons to pupils individually and in small groups.
- Support students in developing new musical skills and confidence.
- Manage and de‑escalate challenging behaviour in the classroom.
- Collaborate closely with teaching and pastoral teams to ensure holistic student support.
Required profile
- Proven experience teaching music in a school setting.
- Background working with SEMH, PRU, youth work or similar contexts.
- Strong behaviour management capabilities.
- Calm, resilient and proactive attitude.
- Availability to start in September.
