Part‑time Optometrist – 32 hrs/week

About the role

We are looking for a qualified Optometrist to join our Asda Opticians store in Park Royal, London on a part‑time basis. You will work 32 hours per week across a rotating shift pattern, delivering high‑quality eye examinations and supporting our customers’ visual health.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive eye examinations, including contact lens and extended service assessments.
• Provide NHS‑linked eye care, treatment and monitoring of eye conditions.
• Collaborate with the Dispensing Optician Manager to train and coach colleagues and uphold departmental standards.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Participate in professional development and acquire additional accreditations as needed.

Required profile

• Registered optometrist (GOC registration preferred).
• Commitment to delivering excellent patient care and service.
• Willingness to work the specified shift pattern, including Saturdays.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary retail team.

Required skills

• Conducting eye examinations.
• Contact lens fitting and assessment.
• Understanding of NHS eye‑care pathways.
