About the role

Zest Optical is recruiting on behalf of an independent opticians group to hire a part‑time Optometrist for their established practice in Cricklade. The role offers 45‑minute eye examinations, allowing thorough, personalised eye care for a loyal patient base.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 45‑minute eye examinations with clinical freedom.
• Deliver thorough, personalised eye care to a loyal patient base.
• Use modern diagnostic equipment and stay updated on contact lens, spectacle lens and frame developments.
• Build long‑term relationships with patients and recommend appropriate solutions.
• Work four days per week (32 hours) on a rotating two‑week schedule, including alternate Saturdays.
• Practice hours: 9:00 am–5:30 pm (Week 1: Tue‑Fri, Week 2: Wed‑Sat).

Required profile

• Fully qualified Optometrist registered with the GOC.
• Previous experience working as an Optometrist.
• Strong focus on clinical care and confident conducting thorough examinations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate about building long‑term patient relationships.
• Committed to providing personalised advice and recommendations.
