Part‑time Postal Delivery Driver – Ashford

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver in Ashford on a six‑month fixed‑term contract. You will be the friendly face delivering letters, parcels and important items to homes and businesses while enjoying an active, outdoor work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Ashford Delivery Office.
• Deliver mail by van and on foot across your local route.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work in all weather conditions, including weekends and Sundays.
• Handle a high volume of items, from exam results to birthday cards.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (max 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit – able to walk up to 12 miles, climb stairs or hills and lift/carry 10 kg+ mailbags.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently outdoors.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
