About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postie and become the friendly face that delivers letters and parcels across Leeds. This part‑time, fixed‑term role offers a rotating shift pattern, including some weekends, and lets you stay active while serving your local community.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the Garforth Delivery Office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot within your assigned route.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, handling up to 12 miles of walking per shift.
• Deliver a variety of items, from birthday cards to business orders.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Willingness and ability to drive a Royal Mail van daily and pass a driving assessment.
• Physically fit – able to walk long distances, climb stairs or hills, and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Valid UK manual driving licence.
