Part‑time Postal Delivery Driver – Romsey

About the role

Join Royal Mail as a Postal Delivery Driver (often called a "Postie") in Romsey. You will be the friendly face delivering letters, parcels and important personal items to households and businesses, working a rotating shift schedule that includes some weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Sort letters and parcels at the local delivery office.
• Deliver post by van and on foot across your assigned route.
• Build relationships with customers and represent the Royal Mail brand.
• Work outdoors in all weather conditions, covering up to 12 miles (20,000+ steps) per day.
• Handle high volumes of parcels, especially during peak periods.

Required profile

• Full manual UK driving licence (maximum 6 penalty points) registered to your current name and address.
• Ability to pass a Royal Mail van driving assessment.
• Physically fit – able to walk long distances, climb stairs/hills and lift/carry mailbags of 10 kg or more.
• Reliable, self‑motivated and comfortable working independently.
• Strong organisational skills and resilience in a fast‑paced environment.
