About the role
Teaching Personnel is looking for an enthusiastic part‑time Primary Supply Teacher to work one day per week (every Tuesday) in a primary school in Caterham, starting September 2026. The role is for the academic year and offers the chance to support Year 1 pupils in a vibrant, collaborative environment. The position is ideal for both seasoned teachers and those beginning their teaching career, offering a supportive environment to develop expertise.
Key responsibilities
- Create a safe, inclusive and stimulating learning environment for Year 1 pupils.
- Plan, deliver and assess lessons in line with the UK curriculum.
- Record and report pupil progress, ensuring each child reaches their potential.
- Implement effective behaviour management strategies and promote positive classroom interaction.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent experience teaching the UK curriculum.
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to inspire pupils.
- Commitment to safeguarding and willingness to undergo DBS checks.
