Part‑time Retail Assistant (12 hrs/week)

About the role
We are looking for a friendly, part‑time Retail Assistant to join our Farmfoods store on Stamfordham Road in Newcastle upon Tyne. The role involves 12 hours of work across three days each week, including occasional weekends, and offers a permanent contract.
Key responsibilities
- Greet customers with a smile and help them locate products.
- Operate the tills, pack purchases and ensure a courteous checkout experience.
- Receive deliveries, stock freezers and shelves, and maintain product rotation.
- Keep the shop clean, tidy and safe by following daily and weekly routines.
Required profile
- Positive, hard‑working attitude and enjoyment of a busy environment.
- Reliability and willingness to support the team, especially when covering shifts.
- Flexibility to adapt working hours when needed.
Required skills

- Hourly rate of £10.95 (16‑20 yrs) or £12.81 (21 + yrs).
