Part‑time Sales Assistant – Retail (6 hrs/week)

About the role

Join a busy charity retail store in Worthing as a Sales Assistant, working 6 hours per week. The role is fast‑paced, includes weekend and bank‑holiday shifts, and offers autonomy while supporting the BHF mission.

Key responsibilities

• Engage with customers, deliver first‑class service and promote the charity’s mission.
• Organise and merchandise donated stock creatively to maximise sales.
• Collaborate with the e‑Commerce team to boost online sales.
• Operate the till, sort donations and act as a keyholder when no manager is present.

Required profile

• Passionate, energetic and customer‑service focused.
• Able to work under pressure, both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, creative and confident with a strong interest in sustainability.
• Physically capable of lifting large items and handling high volumes of donation bags.

Required skills

• Proficiency with a Point of Sale (POS) system.
• Comfortable using a PC, smartphone and email for daily tasks.
