Part‑time SEN Tutor – Thanet & Surrounding Areas

About the role

We are seeking passionate SEN Tutors to deliver one‑to‑one, needs‑based tuition for children with Special Educational Needs in Thanet and the surrounding South East England area. The role is flexible, allowing you to work part‑time or full‑time and to support either multiple learners or a single student until they transition to a mainstream setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide personalised, one‑to‑one tuition sessions aligned with each student’s Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP).
• Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual learning challenges and promote academic progress.
• Collaborate with parents, carers and external professionals to ensure a cohesive support plan.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance and session outcomes.

Required profile

• Previous experience working with children or young people with SEN.
• Strong understanding of EHCPs and targeted intervention techniques.
• Excellent communication skills, a patient and supportive approach.
• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
