About the role
We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 2 Class Teacher to join our Hatfield school on a part‑time basis (0.6 FTE, three days a week) starting September 2026. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality, inclusive learning experiences for Key Stage 1 pupils while supporting their wellbeing.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative lessons for Year 2, aligning with the national curriculum.
- Assess pupil progress, provide constructive feedback and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
- Promote a safe, supportive classroom environment that values children’s wellbeing.
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents and the wider school community to enhance student outcomes.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development sessions and school events.
Required profile
- Proven classroom practice with high expectations for all pupils.
- Passion for Key Stage 1 and understanding of Year 2’s role in preparing children for future success.
- Commitment to nurturing the whole child and fostering wellbeing.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with staff, families and partners.
