Part‑time Year 3 Teacher (Thurs‑Fri)

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Year 3 Class Teacher to join our primary school on a part‑time basis, working Thursdays and Fridays. The role involves delivering high‑quality teaching, supporting pupil progress and fostering an inclusive, positive classroom environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons in line with the Year 3 curriculum.
• Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment where all pupils can thrive.
• Assess, monitor and track pupil progress, using data to inform planning and next steps.
• Differentiate teaching to meet the needs of learners with SEND, EAL and more able pupils.
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and engagement.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff and parents/carers to support pupil wellbeing and progress.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and uphold its values and ethos.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Experience teaching in a primary school setting, preferably within Key Stage 2.
• Strong subject knowledge across the primary curriculum, especially Year 3.
• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
• Strong assessment and organisational abilities.
• Reflective, flexible and proactive approach to teaching.
• Commitment to safeguarding and raising standards.
