Part‑Time Year 3/4 Teacher (2 days/week)

About the role

A larger‑than‑average primary school in Stockport is looking for an enthusiastic teacher to lead a mixed Year 3/4 class two days a week (Thursdays and Fridays). The position runs for the full academic year with the possibility of moving onto a school‑based contract for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, well‑structured lessons across the mixed Year 3/4 class.
• Use established schemes of work, including White Rose Maths and Grammasaurus, and contribute to bespoke curriculum planning.
• Foster a love of reading and develop pupils’ vocabulary.
• Support pupils of all backgrounds, including those with SEND and EAL, to achieve their potential.
• Uphold the school’s commitment to wellbeing, inclusion and high‑quality teaching.

Required profile

• Enthusiastic and committed to primary education.
• Experience teaching Year 3 and/or Year 4 pupils.
• Availability to work on Thursdays and Fridays.
• Willingness to transition to a longer‑term school‑based contract if appropriate.
