Passenger Transport Driver

About the role

Join Passenger Transport Services (PTS) Coventry to provide safe, caring transport for vulnerable passengers, including children and adults with special educational needs or physical and sensory impairments. You will operate accessible minibuses on a split‑shift schedule during term‑time.

Key responsibilities

• Drive allocated minibuses to pick up and drop off service users at designated locations.
• Manually handle large wheelchairs and ensure secure loading and unloading.
• Monitor passenger behaviour and take reasonable steps to prevent self‑harm or harm to others.
• Complete required paperwork and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain punctuality, adaptability, and reliability throughout the shift.

Required profile

• Availability for a split shift of 2 hours in the morning and 2 hours in the afternoon, 20 hours per week, term‑time only.
• Ability to work with challenging behaviours and provide compassionate support.
• Physical capability to handle wheelchairs and assist passengers.
• Right to work in the United Kingdom and willingness to undergo a DBS check.
