Passive Fire Surveyor – East Anglia

About the role

Axis CLC is seeking a Passive Fire Surveyor to join its East Anglia team. You will be responsible for inspecting fire doors across social housing, MOD, healthcare, care homes and educational settings, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct fire‑door surveys using the Plan Radar app on an iPad.
• Provide guidance and advice on fire‑door installations and adjustments.
• Travel across Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex, Cambridge, Peterborough and Hertfordshire, with occasional trips outside the region.
• Troubleshoot issues, adjust closers, replace locks and fit FR letterboxes.
• Record all findings in the supplied app and submit reports.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years experience as a fire‑door surveyor or installer.
• Strong knowledge of passive fire regulations and certification schemes.
• Basic IT competence and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Clean driving licence and own basic tool kit.

Required skills

• Plan Radar application
• FIRAS certification scheme
• B.M Trada certification scheme
• Experience with Bolster, CCS Systems or Site Audit Pro (training provided if needed)
• Use of hand tools and battery‑drill/driver
