Pastry Operative – Morning Shift (5am‑1pm)

About the role

Join The Bread Factory’s artisan bakery team as a Pastry Operative on the early morning shift. You will work from 5 am to 1 pm, helping to produce high‑quality baked goods for our premium restaurant and retail customers.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out production activities to consistently high quality standards.
• Operate and set up bakery machinery, including automated washes.
• Follow safe manual‑handling techniques and wear required PPE at all times.
• Report any machinery defects to the engineering team or manager.
• Maintain food‑safety, hygiene and quality standards throughout the shift.
• Keep the work area clean, empty bins, remove waste and clean equipment.
• Complete required paperwork, stock rotation checks and documentation.

Required profile

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to adapt to new requirements.
• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
• Team‑oriented mindset and courteous professional behaviour.
• Willingness to work flexible hours and take initiative.
