Patent Attorney

About the role

Revolut’s Legal team is looking for a forward‑thinking Patent Attorney to join a lean, high‑impact group that protects the company’s intellectual property worldwide. You will work closely with product, engineering and business teams to ensure that new innovations are properly protected and that the company can launch safely in new markets.

Key responsibilities

• Increase Revolut’s global IP portfolio through proactive registration and management of patents.
• Conduct patentability and freedom‑to‑operate (FTO) searches to assess new inventions and identify infringement risks.
• Prepare, file and prosecute high‑quality patent applications before the EPTO and other international patent offices.
• Manage IP infringement claims, defensive strategies and pre‑dispute matters across the UK and other jurisdictions.
• Provide legal guidance to business units, ensuring products clear rigorous approval processes before launch.
• Advise on cutting‑edge technologies and create creative legal solutions for novel products.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in intellectual property law, with a focus on registration, infringement claims and defensive strategies.
• Demonstrated ability to handle IP matters across multiple jurisdictions, especially the UK and international markets.
• Solution‑oriented mindset capable of navigating legal blockers to achieve business objectives.
• Experience working in a fast‑paced technology environment.
