Patent Litigation Associate – London

About the role

G2 Legal Limited is seeking an ambitious Patent Litigation Associate to join its leading intellectual property disputes team in London. You will work on high‑profile, complex patent cases for clients across technology, engineering, pharmaceutical and life‑science sectors, handling matters in both UK courts and the Unified Patent Court.

Key responsibilities

• Manage your own patent litigation matters while supporting partners on larger disputes.
• Advise clients on UK and cross‑border IP litigation strategies.
• Draft pleadings, legal submissions and provide strategic advice.
• Represent clients before UK courts and the Unified Patent Court.
• Collaborate directly with clients, expert witnesses and external counsel.
• Contribute to business development and nurture client relationships.
• Mentor junior team members where appropriate.

Required profile

• UK‑qualified solicitor with 2–5 years PQE in intellectual property disputes.
• Mandatory STEM degree.
• Proven experience handling patent litigation matters.
• Strong technical understanding and commercial judgement.
• Excellent drafting and communication skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
