Patent Litigation Solicitor – Life Sciences IP Associate

About the role

Our client, a leading international law firm with a strong Life Sciences practice, is seeking a Patent Litigation Solicitor to join its London office. The role involves handling high‑value, complex patent disputes across multiple jurisdictions, representing clients before the UK Patents Court, the European Patent Office and other key forums.

Key responsibilities

• Advise and manage complex patent litigation matters within the life sciences sector.
• Lead multi‑jurisdictional patent disputes, coordinating with teams across Europe and beyond.
• Represent clients before the UK Patents Court, EPO and other relevant institutions.
• Provide strategic guidance on FRAND, technology and life‑science patent issues.

Required profile

• UK‑qualified Solicitor or Chartered Patent Attorney with 2‑5 years PQE.
• Proven experience in life‑sciences patent litigation in the UK and internationally.
• Strong academic background in a scientific discipline (e.g., Biochemistry, Chemistry, Microbiology, Molecular Biology).
• Preferably holds an Oxford Postgraduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law and Practice.
