Patent Litigator & Product Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a super‑smart and talented Patent Litigator to lead and build out our patent litigation capability as we develop Charts, our patent litigation product. You’ll join the lean, talent‑dense, fast‑moving legal team in London.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct infringement and validity analysis across technical domains.
• Advise on litigation risk and develop strategic recommendations for platform users.
• Work directly with engineering and AI teams to shape litigation workflows in Charts.
• Support patent prosecution‑to‑litigation handoffs across the IP lifecycle.
• Translate litigation expertise into platform features to drive product development.

Required profile

• Extensive experience handling complex patent disputes at top‑tier litigation firms.
• 3+ years as an associate or senior associate in patent litigation.
• Technical background – preferably a patent attorney who moved into litigation (any technical field).
• High agency, hard‑working, and thrives in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
• Experience at elite firms such as Quinn Emanuel, Kirkland & Ellis, or equivalent.
• Strong analytical and strategic thinking with ability to break down complex technical and legal issues.
• Based in NYC or London.
