Patternmaker – Composite Manufacturing

About the role

iCOMAT is seeking a skilled Composite Patternmaker to produce and maintain patterns, moulds, and tooling for high‑performance composite components. You will work closely with design, engineering, and production teams to ensure tooling meets strict quality and performance standards.

Key responsibilities

• Manufacture patterns and tooling for composite part production.
• Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and technical specifications.
• Prepare and shape materials such as resin boards, carbon fibre, and tooling compounds.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and precision measurement instruments.
• Repair, modify, and maintain existing moulds and tooling.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to optimise tooling design and manufacture.
• Maintain safe working practices and comply with health and safety regulations.
• Support prototype development and new product introduction activities.

Required profile

• Experience in composite tooling, pattern making, mould making, or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and CAD data.
• Knowledge of composite materials and manufacturing techniques.
• Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments.
