Payroll Administrator – Full-time (Up to £30k)

About the role
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Administrator to join a well‑established business in the Leigh area. This full‑time, permanent role involves managing the end‑to‑end monthly payroll and providing high‑quality support to the HR team.
Key responsibilities
- Process the monthly payroll for all employees, ensuring accuracy and timely payment.
- Handle payroll changes such as starters, leavers, salary amendments, overtime, bonuses, absences and statutory payments.
- Maintain up‑to‑date payroll records and align payroll data with HR systems.
- Collaborate with HR Advisors to address employee payroll queries.
- Provide advice to employees and managers on payroll‑related matters.
- Conduct payroll checks, reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
- Ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, statutory payments and pension requirements.
- Assist with payroll reporting and supply accurate information when required.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle data in line with GDPR.
Required profile
- Proven experience processing end‑to‑end payroll.
- Strong understanding of payroll legislation and statutory requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills to support HR Advisors, managers and employees.
- Relevant payroll or CIPD qualification is desirable.
