Payroll Advisor (2 days in + 3 from home)

About the role

This hybrid role offers the chance to own the end‑to‑end UK payroll process while working both on‑site and from home. Reporting to senior leadership, you will ensure accurate, timely payments and compliance with payroll legislation, collaborating closely with HR and Finance.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the monthly UK payroll cycle from data collection to payment.
• Process variable payments such as bonuses, overtime and ad‑hoc items.
• Maintain compliance with HMRC legislation, tax regulations and payroll deadlines.
• Administer payroll‑related benefits, including company vehicles and salary‑sacrifice schemes.
• Support Finance with payroll reporting, audit requirements and data provision.
• Stay updated on payroll legislation and drive continuous process improvements.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across HR, Finance and the wider business.

Required profile

• Previous experience managing payroll in a busy organisation.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to build positive relationships across multiple teams.
• Proactive, well‑organised and committed to delivering a first‑class internal service.

Required skills

• Cascade payroll system (advantageous but not essential).
