Payroll Analyst – Hybrid, Birmingham

About the role

We are seeking a motivated and detail‑oriented Payroll Analyst to join our growing team in Birmingham. You will work within a collaborative payroll department, ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing while complying with UK legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Process payroll inputs and maintain up‑to‑date employee records.
• Perform detailed payroll reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Support year‑end activities, statutory payments and audit requirements.
• Deliver high‑quality service to employees and internal stakeholders.
• Assist with continuous improvement of payroll processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a payroll function with strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, statutory payments and deductions.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
• Confident communicator with strong customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel – data analysis, look‑ups, reporting and reconciliations.
