About the role
Join a dynamic finance team as a Payroll Assistant, responsible for ensuring staff are paid accurately and on time. You will work in a busy office environment, handling payroll processing, employee records, and pension administration.
Key responsibilities
- Accurately process monthly payroll for all employees.
- Maintain and update employee personal, contractual and financial records.
- Handle temporary payroll variations, starters, leavers and related adjustments.
- Administer pension schemes and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Conduct checks and audits to guarantee data accuracy.
- Support the preparation and reconciliation of financial reports.
- Liaise with pension authorities regarding contributions and deductions.
Required profile
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll and pensions, preferably in a busy office.
- CIPP Payroll Technician Certificate (essential) or related qualifications such as CLAIT or EDCL (desirable).
- Strong understanding of HMRC and pension regulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with staff at all levels.
- Organised, able to prioritise workload and meet deadlines.
