Payroll & Benefits Specialist (Hybrid – Thames Valley)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Payroll & Benefits Specialist to manage accurate, timely and compliant payroll and benefits for our international workforce. The role is hybrid, based in the Thames Valley region with three days in the office and two days remote.

Key responsibilities

• Process monthly payroll for ~150 employees, including salaries, commissions, bonuses, expenses and statutory payments.
• Coordinate payroll across multiple countries via local providers and ensure compliance with PAYE, National Insurance, RTI and pension auto‑enrolment.
• Administer employee benefits, pensions, private medical, life assurance and salary‑sacrifice schemes.
• Handle onboarding, leavers and employee changes, and act as the primary contact for payroll queries.
• Maintain payroll controls, reconciliations, audit trails and support reporting and audits.
• Identify and implement process improvements while ensuring data security under UK GDPR.

Required profile

• Proven experience in payroll and benefits administration.
• Strong knowledge of UK payroll legislation, PAYE, National Insurance, RTI and pension auto‑enrolment.
• Ability to work closely with HR, Finance and external providers.
• Attention to detail and commitment to compliance and data security.
