About the role
Join Birmingham Hippodrome as a Payroll & Benefits Specialist, responsible for accurate payroll processing and the coordination of employee benefits. You will be the first point of contact for all compensation, payroll and benefits queries, working within a supportive People, Culture & Talent team.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee end‑to‑end payroll processing for all employees and flexible workers.
- Manage company pension schemes and organise a range of benefit programmes.
- Serve as the primary contact for payroll, compensation and benefits queries.
- Maintain compliance with UK payroll and tax regulations.
- Utilise payroll software (e.g., Staffology) and produce accurate payroll reports.
- Collaborate with the Head of People, Culture & Talent and contribute to the People Strategy.
Required profile
- Strong in‑house UK payroll knowledge with experience in full‑cycle processing.
- Experience managing company pensions and benefit schemes.
- Excellent numerical ability, data analysis skills and high attention to detail.
- Ability to work at pace in a fast‑moving environment and communicate confidently.

What we offer
- Hybrid working (minimum 3 days onsite per week).
- Part‑time permanent contract (22.5 hours/week, 0.6 FTE).
- Pro‑rated salary £19,800 – £21,134.40 per annum.
