Payroll Executive

About the role

Reporting directly to the Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the timely and accurate processing of weekly and monthly payroll for a portfolio of clients based in Teesside.

Key responsibilities

• Process weekly and monthly payroll for a diverse client portfolio with varied frequencies and complexities.
• Reconcile payroll reports and manage high‑volume multiple payroll runs.
• Submit Auto‑enrolment and RTI filings in line with statutory deadlines.
• Handle statutory payments, year‑end returns and compliance tasks.
• Respond to client payroll queries and perform manual calculations such as P45s.
• Maintain compliance with SSP, SMP, SPP, SAP, PAYE, NIC, expenses, benefits and pension schemes.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years’ experience in payroll processing.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive initiative.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Excellent Excel proficiency.
• Experience handling multiple, high‑volume payrolls.
