Payroll Manager – EMEA (Interim)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced interim Payroll Manager to lead payroll operations across the EMEA region for a leading global gaming company. This 3‑6 month assignment will oversee payroll delivery for roughly 1,000 employees in 15 European countries, ensuring accuracy, compliance and a high‑quality employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end monthly payroll for 15 European countries, acting as the primary contact for ADP and other outsourced providers.
• Validate and reconcile ADP outputs, support payroll balance‑sheet analysis and ensure timely payslip production.
• Manage payroll queries, drive continuous improvement and maintain robust payroll controls.
• Collaborate with country partners to guarantee compliance with local legislation and best practices.
• Line‑manage a Payroll Officer, providing coaching and fostering a high‑performing team.

Required profile

• Significant payroll management experience across multiple EMEA jurisdictions.
• Proven track record in complex, multi‑entity international organisations.
• Strong knowledge of UK and European payroll legislation, compliance and governance.
• Experience processing off‑cycle payrolls, salary adjustments and RSU‑related tax implications.
• Familiarity with UK pension administration.
