Payroll Manager – End-to-End Payroll & HR Support

About the role

Reed is seeking an experienced Payroll Manager to own the full payroll cycle and support key HR processes within a fast‑moving organisation. You will ensure accurate, compliant payroll delivery while enhancing the overall employee experience.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and process monthly payroll from start to finish, including overtime, bonuses and deductions.
• Handle starters, leavers, salary changes and statutory payments.
• Submit RTI reports and meet all HMRC and pension obligations.
• Complete year‑end activities such as P45s, P60s and P11Ds.
• Maintain GDPR‑compliant payroll records and drive process improvements.
• Resolve payroll queries promptly and ensure 100% on‑time delivery.
• Support onboarding, employee record maintenance and HR administrative tasks.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, senior management and external pension providers.

Required profile

• 3–5 years of hands‑on payroll experience in the UK.
• Strong knowledge of PAYE, NI, pensions and other statutory requirements.
• Experience processing end‑to‑end payroll and supporting HR functions.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy and discretion with sensitive data.
• Effective communication and problem‑solving abilities.
