Payroll Manager – Technology & Telecoms

About the role

The Payroll Manager will lead end‑to‑end payroll processing for a medium‑sized technology and telecoms organisation in Glasgow. This permanent role focuses on accuracy, compliance and continuous improvement of payroll operations.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full payroll cycle, ensuring timely and accurate payments to all employees.
• Maintain compliance with statutory payroll regulations and internal company policies.
• Prepare payroll reports and documentation for internal and external audits.
• Collaborate with the Accounting & Finance team to resolve payroll queries and discrepancies.
• Implement and optimise payroll systems and software to improve efficiency.
• Respond to employee payroll inquiries with clear, professional communication.
• Monitor changes in tax legislation and payroll regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
• Provide payroll‑related insights and data analysis to support management decisions.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing payroll within the Technology & Telecoms sector.
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and statutory requirements.
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational abilities.
• Ability to analyse and interpret payroll data effectively.
• Effective communication skills for liaising with internal teams and external stakeholders.
