Payroll Officer – Hybrid, Warrington

About the role

We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our growing team in Warrington. The role offers hybrid working and the opportunity to develop a long‑term career within a fast‑paced payroll environment.

Key responsibilities

• Process end‑to‑end payroll across multiple contracts and pay agreements.
• Set up new starters, manage leavers and calculate redundancy, notice, statutory and occupational payments.
• Produce payroll reports for various departments and ensure deadlines are met.
• Liaise with pension providers, HMRC, courts and internal teams to maintain an efficient payroll service.
• Respond promptly to payroll queries and maintain accurate records.
• Stay up to date with payroll and pension legislation and follow established policies.

Required profile

• Previous payroll experience in a fast‑paced, multi‑site, multi‑contract environment.
• Strong knowledge of payroll and pension legislation.
• Familiarity with HMRC reporting, including benefits in kind.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Effective communication skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
