Payroll Specialist – Hybrid, Swindon

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to join a well‑established client in Swindon. The role is permanent, full‑time and offers a hybrid working pattern – three days in the office and two days remote after probation.

Key responsibilities

• Process multiple payrolls from start to finish, meeting internal and client deadlines.
• Administer statutory payments such as SSP, SMP, SPP, SPAD, and Shared Parental Leave.
• Ensure payroll is signed off and submitted in time for BACS salary payments.
• Maintain accurate payroll records, checklists and client details.
• Liaise with HMRC and third‑party providers as required.
• Handle pension and automatic enrolment matters.
• Respond to client queries professionally via phone and written communication.
• Follow GDPR guidelines and keep all documentation password protected.
• Collaborate with colleagues to ensure smooth payroll and pension operations.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in PAYE, RTI and auto‑enrolment payroll processes.
• Proven ability to meet strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Clear and confident communicator at all organisational levels.
• Willingness to undertake formal training provided by the employer.
