PCV Bus Driver – Blyth Depot

About the role

Arriva is looking for a qualified PCV Bus Driver to join its Blyth depot. You will be responsible for safely transporting passengers across the North East, providing a reliable service for commuters, shoppers and schoolchildren.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a PCV bus on assigned routes, adhering to timetables and safety regulations.
• Assist passengers with boarding, alighting and any special travel needs.
• Conduct pre‑journey safety checks and report any vehicle issues.
• Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage and incident reports.
• Provide courteous, customer‑focused service and represent Arriva positively in the community.

Required profile

• Valid PCV licence (non‑negotiable).
• Maximum of six penalty points on licence.
• Ability to pass a drug and alcohol test.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work rotating shift patterns, including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
