PCV Bus Driver – Darlington Depot

About the role

Arriva is looking for qualified PCV Bus Drivers to join its Darlington depot. You will be responsible for safely transporting passengers on scheduled routes, helping them reach work, school, and daily destinations while representing the company to the community.

Key responsibilities

• Operate a PCV bus on assigned routes, adhering to timetables and traffic regulations.
• Assist passengers with boarding, alighting, and any special needs.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment inside the vehicle.
• Complete daily paperwork, including mileage and incident reports.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and fellow drivers.

Required profile

• Valid PCV licence (non‑negotiable).
• No more than 6 penalty points on your licence.
• Ability to pass drug and alcohol testing.
• Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends and bank holidays.

Required skills

• Safe vehicle operation and navigation of local road networks.
