PDI / Used Vehicle Preparation Technician

About the role

We are looking for an experienced PDI / Used Vehicle Preparation Technician to join our specialist centre in Gillingham, Kent. The role is full‑time, Monday to Friday, and offers a supportive environment for a technician who wants to step back from a high‑pressure workshop while still delivering high‑quality work.

Key responsibilities

• Accurately service and prepare motor vehicles for sale.
• Diagnose and record any additional faults that require further repair.
• Ensure all work complies with manufacturer and industry safety standards.
• Inspect new vehicle deliveries from transporters for accuracy and condition.
• Securely handle and store vehicle keys and act as a keyholder for the compound.
• Use diagnostic equipment safely and effectively.
• Contribute to process efficiency and quality control.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a vehicle technician, preferably with a main dealer background.
• Strong track record of delivering quality work efficiently.
• Pride in workmanship and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently within a structured environment.
