PE Teacher – Independent School in Salisbury

About the role

We are seeking a qualified and enthusiastic PE Teacher to join an independent school in Salisbury. The role starts in September and involves delivering Physical Education to students in Key Stages 3 and 4 within a supportive, well‑resourced environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging PE lessons for KS3 and KS4.
• Support pupils’ physical development, participation and wellbeing.
• Contribute to extracurricular sports and related activities.
• Assist in teaching or supporting other subjects when required.
• Maintain high standards of behaviour, engagement and safety.
• Follow safeguarding policies and school procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) – essential.
• Strong knowledge of Physical Education curriculum.
• Experience teaching secondary PE, preferably in an independent or smaller school.
• Effective classroom management and organisational abilities.
• Flexible, proactive and team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills

• Delivery of PE lessons across KS3 and KS4.
